Promoting Education as the Fastest Way to Overcome Poverty

At Solicitude for Orphans Children Support Group, we believe education is the strongest foundation for breaking the cycle of poverty. It opens doors to opportunity, builds confidence, and empowers children and families to create better futures.

We work in underserved communities to ensure that every child — especially orphans and vulnerable learners — has access to quality education. From providing school supplies and uniforms to covering tuition and supporting school feeding programs, we remove the barriers that keep children out of class.

For youth and caregivers, we offer vocational training, literacy programs, and digital skills that lead to sustainable income and self-reliance.

Education changes everything — it reduces inequality, improves health, and creates lasting impact across generations. By keeping children in school today, we’re helping them escape poverty tomorrow.

Impact Stat

Over 800 children from low-income and orphaned backgrounds have received school support through our education programs — including tuition, uniforms, meals, and mentorship — since 2017.

Success Story: Meet Amina

Amina, a 10-year-old girl from the Kayole-Soweto slums, had dropped out of school to help care for her younger siblings. Through our support, Amina was re-enrolled in school, provided with supplies and meals, and connected with a mentor. Today, she’s thriving in class and dreams of becoming a teacher to help other children like her.
