About Solicitude

What is the mission of Solicitude Organization?

Our mission is to uplift orphans, vulnerable children, women, and youth in underserved communities through education, health, psychosocial care, and empowerment programs rooted in community values.

Where are you based, and which areas do you serve?

We are based in Kayole-Soweto, Nairobi, and operate across Kenya’s informal settlements and rural areas — especially among children and families affected by poverty, HIV/AIDS, and social exclusion.

Are you a registered nonprofit organization?

Volunteering at Solicitude

How can I become a volunteer?

Simply email or call us to express interest. After reviewing your background and skills, we’ll guide you through onboarding and place you in a suitable program.

Are there both in-person and remote volunteer options?

Yes! Join us in Kayole-Soweto for field activities or support from anywhere in the world through content creation, fundraising, mentorship, or strategy.

How much time is required to volunteer?

We offer flexible roles — from one-day community drives to long-term mentorship. We’ll align your schedule with our impact needs.

Will I get a certificate or letter of recommendation?

Are donations tax-deductible?

Currently, donations are not tax-deductible. However, we’re working on partnerships to make this possible in the future.

Education & Empowerment

What education support do you offer?

We provide school fees, books, uniforms, and mentorship to help children stay in school and succeed. We also offer vocational skills and digital literacy for youth.

Getting Involved

Can I visit your offices or project sites?

Yes — visits are welcome with prior scheduling. Please reach out to arrange a site visit or volunteer day.

I can’t volunteer. What else can I do?

You can support us by donating, sharing our posts on social media, organizing fundraisers, or simply spreading the word.

Do you accept in-kind donations?
